Geneva Initiative is a joint Israeli-Palestinian effort that suggests a detailed model for a peace agreement to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict- proving that peace is possible, demonstrating that partners for peace do exist and are campaigning tirelessly to achieve that peace. Givat Haviva (Israel's principle Arab-Jewish coexistence organizations) was founded in 1949 as the national education center of the Kibbutz Artzi Movement, a federation of 83 kibbutzim throughout Israel. Our overriding goals are to educate for peace, democracy, coexistence and social solidarity; to resist racism and all forms of discrimination; and to foster greater understanding between different groups in Israeli society and among nations. Givat Haviva is a dynamic institute which conducts seminars and workshops, hosts conferences, and offers formal and informal educational programs for adults and children in a broad range of professional and academic fields. Parents Circle-Families Forum acts to prevent further bereavement which is threatening the Israeli society and the peoples in the region as a result of the absence of peace. Members of the Forum include hundreds of Israeli and Palestinian bereaved families who have lost, as a result of the Israeli-Arab conflict, a first degree family member and accepted the principles and objectives of the Forum. Americans for Peace Now was founded in 1981 to support the activities of Shalom Achshav (Peace Now in Israel). APN is the leading United States advocate for peace in the Middle East. To achieve this goal, the US must remain a fully engaged partner in the Middle East peace process. Israel Labor Party (Mifleget ha-Avodah ha-Yisraelit/Maarach) was established in 1968 with the joining of Mapai, Ahdut Ha'avodah and Labor Rafi. Labor's ideological vision for Israel is based upon the values of the Jewish labor movement, which are in turn, products of the social experience and cultural heritage of the Jewish people. Until Menachem Begin's victory in 1977, every Israeli Prime Minister came from Labor. Since 1977, Labor leaders Yitzhak Rabin, Shimon Peres and Ehud Barak have served as Prime Ministers. Salaam al-Ann supports a Palestinian state in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, dismantling of the settlements, and a land swap for major settlement blocks. Brit Tzedek V'shalom, the Jewish Alliance for Justice and Peace, is a national organization of American Jews deeply committed to Israel's well-being through the achievement of a negotiated settlement to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict. We are guided by the mitzvah, or obligation, to pursue peace and justice that is rooted in both secular and religious Jewish traditions. We believe the vast majority of Israelis and Palestinians long for an enduring peace and that security for Israel can only be achieved through the establishment of an economically and politically viable Palestinian state, necessitating an end to Israel's occupation of land acquired during the 1967 war and an end to Palestinian terrorism.
